So, Whole Foods is a mecca for fragrant lotions, soaps, body washes that smell absolutely wonderful. I couldn't resist getting this. Tuscan Blood Orange I've tried before but it smells like a big orange I had to get it again. Lotus Garden is new and smells very citrusy as well. Can't wait to use this again.
I posted this on my Facebook page but HAD to post it here. This is an AMAZING body wash. It smells so beautifully of roses and champagne. The scent is soo strong it lingers on your skin. If you have sugar or salt and mix it with this unbelievable body wash you've got...a great scrub!! Needless to say, tomorrow I'm going to Whole Foods to check out other scents.
Sorry, I haven't been on for quite awhile...what with the virus on my computer and now having the flu virus myself...things just got a little bit behind. Anyhow, I found these cute little bags at Michael's and will be flying these to my Aunt in Chicago, Illinois. I hope she'll like them...and I'm thinking she will!! There are quite a few soaps in here so she can try out any of them she likes!
Phew!! Minta Minta Mint is setting up and hardening. I have to say, even after some assurance I kept asking myself: Is it going to set up? What if it doesn't? Could I have soaped too cold or too hot or not stirred enough...omg!! Really glad that this recipe works...its runny enough. I just wonder if it lathers well : ) Hmmm! Can't wait to see!!
Here is my lovely Rose Garden soap. This was a really thick recipe and so there was not really enough room to design so much but I like the way it turned out and boy does it smell...well LIKE ROSES!!! I think I'm gonna make banana soap next. See you soon!!
Okay, I've cut Minta Minta Mint soap. It smells great. I also knew that with the high amount of Olive oil this soap was going to be really, really, really soft and I should've left it in the mold for another day...I couldn't wait though. A little bit dented though too soft. I'll clean it up later : ) I needed to unmold it and it looks pretty darn awesome! Although its just too soft. Not to worry though because this happened last time with a very similar recipe and that soap is as hard if not one of the hardest soaps I've ever made. Hard as a rock!!
What a great day of soaping today!! This here I call minta minta mint!! Mint is my favorite scent, color, and herb and what better way to represent this than with my favorite hobby. This is a newer recipe that allows for more wiggle room. I'm so excited to unmold it tomorrow.
Piacere means pleased to meet you in Italian and my hobby does just that! It's always pleased to meet me with a new challenge. Whether it be to create a new design or new scent it's always nice and refreshing to meet soap making with good attitude. So these are some of the soaps I've made so far. On the top far right is the first soap I've ever created. It is a simple oatmeal soap. It cleanses well but not so much lather. To the left of that is one of my favorites! It is unscented buttermilk and carrot soap. To the left of that is an unscented olive oil soap which has a fantastic lather. On its left I call a chocolate fudge soap. It smells divine but doesn't have much of a lather. On the second row far right is one of my favorites. It is a cherry almond soap that lathers very well. It also has olive oil for moisturizing properties and its just how I like it...melts! To the left of that is the mint soap and it...
